Data protection policy for clients of ALS

This data protection policy explains how we collect and process certain personal data as well as your rights. You are always welcome to contact us with any questions regarding data integrity and security. Contact information is given at the end of this document.

In order to fulfill our obligations towards personnel, clients and suppliers, ALS needs to process personal data in accordance with the current data security policy. We do this with the utmost respect for your integrity.

Which information do we collect?

Information you provide to us

You may either directly or indirectly have given us the following information:

  • Personal and contact information: Name, delivery and invoicing addresses, e-mail address, phone number etc.

By using our online services, we may gather below data about you:

  • Personal and contact information: Name, delivery and invoicing addresses, e-mail address, phone number etc.
  • Information of products and services: E.g. information about products/services purchased.
  • Historical information: Your purchase history as well as payment and credit history.
  • Other account settings: E.g. language settings, currency settings and your preferred file formats for analytical results.

The information you provide us, as well as information about products/services purchased and financial information is generally required in order to enter into a business relationship with ALS. For other information we in general collect for other purposes, please see below.

What do we do with your information?

We use all data to enable us to execute and improve our service, and to fulfill agreements signed between ALS and our clients. We process personal information for the below given purposes based on stated legal grounds:

Communication with you

To whom may we share your information?

We may transfer or share your information with certain third parties according to the list given below. ALS ensures that we will fulfill all reasonable legal, technical and organizational obligations to ensure that we handle your data safely with an adequate security level in any cases of transfer or sharing of data.

  • Suppliers and subcontractors within ALS: We may share your personal data with suppliers or subcontractors to be able to execute our contractual obligations towards you, or for other purposes stated in this data protection policy.
  • Authorities: We may share certain information to authorities such as law enforcement, tax agencies or other authorities we are obliged to comply with by law.

What will we not do with your data

We will not sell your personal data to a third party.

Where do we process personal data?

ALS always strives towards processing your data within EU/EES. Data may however, for specific purposes, be transferred to, or stored outside EU/EES by branch of ALS or other suppliers/subcontractors. In such cases, we are determined to protect your data and will take all reasonable legal, technical and organizational measures to ensure your data is processed in a secure manner with an adequate protection level comparable to what is offered within EU/EES.

How long do we store your personal data?

ALS stores your personal data for as long it is necessary in order to execute the contractual agreement with you and/or as long as applicable laws or rules oblige us to store it.

Your rights to access, correction and deletion of data

  • Right to access your data: You may request a copy of personal data and correct any data ALS stores about you. This service is provided free of charge.
  • Right to correct data: You have the right to amend incorrect or incomplete information about yourself.
  • Right to be erased (“right to be forgotten”): You have the right to request deletion of your personal data under the assumption that such data is no longer is required for the purpose for which it was registered. There may however be legal obligations that prevent us from deleting certain data. Such obligations are enforced by applicable law and/or valid legal agreements. In such cases, ALS will block the data we are obliged to store from usage of any other means than legal purposes.
